i have a lot of friends interested in the occult so i made an account here! specifically i want to learn the proper way to make artefacts/amulets/sigils/whatever they're called as gifts (some said they'd appreciate me making one for them). i've always been very interested in mystic ways of thought. If anyone has any research guides focused on the aesthetic traditions of the occult schools please let me know!

I also just joined this forum. Welcome aboard

What system of magic do your friends subscribe to? That's the starting point for occult gift ideas

If you tell us that we can help point you to books. I recommend Anna's Archive for free ebooks. Go to wikipedia and search annas archive and you can find the updated website links, and also the library here has a lot of material.

thank you for replying. I've heard them mention the words Wicca, Hermetic, Norse... honestly they all seem to mention a lot of traditions each and i never thought to ask for specifics, that was probably a mistake lol. i've read a few general occult history books, but i'll ask them for what particularly they would want made and then i'll look into that, thanks for suggesting that website i've never heard of it before.

You're welcome! A custom tarrot card deck is never a bad option. I am traveling so I can't get things shipped to me, otherwise I'd buy this tarrot deck from a member here @stalkinghyena who's very knowledgeable (I've been a lurker here for a while for research and finally just joined recently)

Really beautiful tarrot deck and combines traditions and symbolism into one deck from what I can see.

Can't go wrong with a tarrot deck.

You could also try to make your own talisman if you want to really impress them, but then you have to time it right and do everything by a specific protocol.

It sounds like your friends are generalists so I don't think they'd be offended by you getting them from any occult magical tradition. Your description seems like they would enjoy anything you'd get them. I hope this helps you out and yeah that site is very useful for books.
