I came across this site during a Google search and found the discussions I read very valuable. So here I am!

I've been a practicing Eclectic pagan for almost 30 years, though having a mom with abilities means I was working with the spiritual realm for a few years before that. I've been a member of two covens in my time, and currently am solitary in my practice (though I do mentor a small number of people). I'm of mixed heritage and also utilize my different heritages in my practice.

I'm also a spoonie, so there's absolutely times I use low-energy approaches in my practice.

I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Beneath Her Stars, dragon flight. Make yourself right at home and, please, do teach low-voltage. Some of us here really need it ;)
Aw, thank you!

I can certainly try to do so! For me, it's really about understanding energy fundamentals and how they work. So like looking at a spell's components and steps and understanding how they energetically work together in a spell. Then based on my own energy level at the time, paring it down to being more of the essentials and what I'm capable of contributing. Sometimes spell components help me not use as much energy, sometimes the work involved uses too much for what I can do at the time. Sometimes it's easier for me to snip concepts from different places and decide what would and wouldn't work, keeping my own energy level in mind too.

Like I tell those I mentor, ultimately the only tool we need is ourselves. So utilizing elements that help me focus or lend energy is great, unless the process to use them makes me use more energy than they ultimately provide me.

I hope that makes sense. For me anyway, it's more of a subjective approach depending on how my health is doing.

Thank you so much! As I explained to Lucien, my approach is a bit more subjective and case by case. But I am always happy to help however I can!

I suggest that you make a spoonie thread about your approach.;) There are not a lot of people watching the introduction threads (which is a pity) and this makes that discussions not always do flourish in this part of the forum. And another thing is that, because of the title of the topic, it is not always easy to find a topic back if it is woven into a introduction. (please don't be shy, we are welcoming new topics as we are welcoming new members)

Thank you! I haven't had a chance to delve as deeply into the different areas. Do you have a suggestion for the best place to put a thread like that?
