Hello, and greetings to everyone here.
Imagine a smallish Finnish boy of 10 years of age with heterochromia, jug ears, still rather light colored hair (originally straw colored) and a curious mind with a strong taste for mystery, ancient Egypt and a gnawing sense that there's more to the world we can see with our physical eyes. Then see this boy browsing the shelves of a mid-sized library, just about after reading "A search in secret Egypt" by Paul Brunton. And then see this boy near the shelf labeled "Parapsychology" stumbling to a bunch of several thick books with bright red spine and covers with the label "Isis Unveiled" and the name "Blavatsky" under it.
After decades had passed, this boy had turned to a middle aged man with a bit stocky frame, silver hair and a goatee beard á la Richelieu. Well, as you most likely already guessed that boy was me and while there wasn't any drastic immediate change in me after reading Blavatsky, there was a subtle but very marked shift in the way I looked at the world, people and things around us. And after decades of reading and piles of books, I still have way more questions than answers. And that's why I'm here: to read, to listen, to learn, to understand. And perhaps occasionally to share my thoughts - although I prefer to listen, not to talk.
Thanks for letting me join to the group. And apologies for any grammtical or spelling mistakes I might have already done or do in the future. For while I read english fluently, my ability to read far surpasses my way more limited ability to produce the English language.
