Thanks for your reply! Yes, I'm really interested in Hellenism and other chthonic practices generally. Hekate is the deity I'm most interested in I'd say, as well as Dionysus and Comus, but I didn't think i would be a convincing maenadWelcome to WF.
Your user name is intriguing. Do you have an interest in underworld nymphs, the Goddess Hekate, the Greek underworld in general, or chthonic spirits and or deities perhaps? Regardless, I hope that you are able to make good connections here and grow spiritually.

Oh excellent! I've been looking for a copy for some time. I would love to hear your other recommendations, also. You’re so welcome.
The Hekatæon is available here to read, it’s the first addition. If you haven’t already read it I would definitely recommend it. There are other books I can recommend for Hekate and Dionysus if you are interested. I don’t know if you are versed in meditation, trance, or lucid dreaming, however, if you are I recommend seeking out Achlys and Bromius. You might find you’re drawn to them if Hekate and Dionysus call to you. I do a lot of work with the Greek underwood so it’s a topic I’m always willing to discuss.
As for not making a convincing maenad, that’s adorable. I think we could use more of them in the world so it wouldn’t hurt my feelings if you wanted to bring it back. (I mostly mean this to be in tongue-in-cheek. Mostly.) They were portrayed in season two of the Netflix series The Sandman. Though I didn’t care for their portrayal of Hekate or Loki.
Welcome here. As for trance and meditation, I really like the transe induction and progressive meditation methods proposed by Wachter in Six Ways. There's also an introduction to trance in Jan Fries's Visual Magick, which I found to be a good book too (and the proposed trance induction is quoted by Wachter as an additional method).Oh excellent! Trance and meditation is something I'm looking to get more involved in, I'll certainly keep Achlys and Bromius in mind.
Thanks again for the warm welcome!
