I'm just an entry level noob who is beginning to follow the "methodology" of Franz Bardon's book - Initiation Into Hermetics.

There really isn't any other book like it (that I know of).

Let me be specific:
I've never seen another occult book that is a detailed, noob friendly, step by step process. If you know of any others please let me know, I'd like to add it to my list (I'd like to make an audiobook of it).

I made an audiobook of Initiation Into Hermetics for my own personal use, so I could learn the theory faster and also be able to quickly review specific sections and chapters. I'll be posting a thread for that shortly for anyone who is interested.

I uploaded it to my youtube channel so anyone can listen to it for free.

I plan on doing this for all his other books, and any other books like his. I'll be doing some other books too, but Franz Bardon's books definitely take priority.

I can't actually say it's "worked" yet.

What I like about the book is that it gives you experiments and tests to confirm your progress. There's a certain "stage" you can reach that revolves around controlling the elements and you're advised to test your ability to manipulate the temperature of your surroundings through a thermometer.

The feat that I would consider confirmation is something slightly above that, lighting a match without striking it.

If you want glimpses into the spiritual world plant medicine is a solid path to get a feel for what is to come. I will warn though it can be a terrifying experience. Set and setting are key.

Trichocereus bridgesii. I live in socal so it is widely available and legal to buy. If your serious about going into the experience it takes some preperation. First use a knife to remove all the spines(preferably serrated) then remove the skin( its kinda like it was dipped in wax) then cut it up ( 1 foot is a dose then 2 will show you alot if your prepared) so finding your dose slice it up and puree it with a blender. Then sift the liquids through an old shirt or cheese cloth( it will be slimy) Then use a heated pan medium heat to reduce the liquid( consuming it is god awful so the less you have the better just dont cook it too long because it can destroy the alkoloids). personnaly 2 feet simmered down to about for me about a third cup. Dont let the taste throw you off if your willing to down it the experience is beautiful and euphoric. From my recommendations the best way to go about it is to learn. project the though of wanting to know more about yourself and the universe when the effects come on. Do not take it lightly if done properly you will be thrust into other dimensions.
