This comprehensive guide explores a variety of magical topics―mirror magic, sigil magic, shamanism, magical orders, mudras, folk magic, and divination―in a modern, non-dogmatic way. The integrated, progressive approach of this book on high magic is designed to help the reader develop a holistic understanding of the underlying magical theories and a true mastery of the magical techniques. Themes in the text recur, focusing on different aspects of core topics but taking the reader further along each time, using the format proven effective in High Magic.

High Magic II also delves into magic and yoga, magic in the Bible, the Kabbalah, forms of initiation, and the magic of ancient Egypt and the late Hellenistic period. Many provocative practices are addressed, including demonic magic and combat magic. Some of the techniques have never before appeared in an English-language book.

I've read this body of knowledge and it was subject of a few debates in some esoteric circles.
My personal opinion (not because I have something against manipulation of knowledge) is that it has obvious faults in both knowledge and logic.
For those who study, but study not just pretend the roleplay of practitioners, the illustration 4 depicts the basic exercise in energy circulation which is clearly visible inside the body (page 28 of the pdf digital version) but the page 45 form the same edition, illustration 8 depicts the popular vortex centers, the major system of the chakras which extends below the root chakra gracefully depicted in illustration 4 of the energy circuit.

In a more, hmmm, broad sense it is creating a conflict of knowledge. Much like one doesn't really understand the knowledge but gathers and compiles the "facts" from various sources... Page 62 contradicts knowledge shared in page 82, stuff like that.
It is useful, has value, but it is limited, in my opinion. Like many books it expresses the experience and knowledge learned or accumulated at that time, here and there's author perspective and its own point of view which is totally valid for many who don't push the logic further, the science, the dynamics of learning process.

(not fancy words to mislead you, dynamics of learning process means that you question the thing you read or you are presented with and you interact in a healthy way rather than take it as it is, as a fact)

So, exercice your curiosity and experience... learn, practice, explore... :)
