I didn't see a discussion thread for this book so I thought I would start one. The first thing I want to bring up is that the copy is a little hard to read so might mess up some details about the things I mention.

There's a story within that I think is a very interesting retelling of Adam, Eve, and the apple. So SameaI is usually sometimes I find attribuited to the snake character that tempts Eve. Forget what you heard from the most popular story because apperently in this one he does not act as that.

In this retelling there is no apple in fact there is no fruit adjacent thing. In this version its a little darker and apperently SamaeI asked for Eve to watch his kid but then Adam hit him too hard since he cried too much. I don't want to describe the next part but if you read the book it describes that Adam and Eve hide what they did. Now to also give another hint without going into too much detail think back to the apple.

Adam and Eve felt pretty bad after they did this so in this version this is how the Torah came to be to alleviate that guilt for what they did.

I just wanted to mention this since it seems like a pretty different story than the ones thats been told. It also has very different someone to blame than Eve who make Adam go along. Instead its Adam to blame who makes Eve go along. It also paints a different picture for why they got banned from the garden. Rather than wanting to seek knowledge they got kicked for not being responsible with someone else's kid. This

SamaeI is kind of an interesting figure especially with gnosticism saying he is part of or is the demi-urge. The next story I guess I want to bring up is one where SamaeI apperently was searching for Moses soul and got interesting information about Moses. Apperently in this book it said Moses did what he did in the BibIe when he was a chiId which I think is crazy but there's Greta Thurberg so anythings possible.

There was a lot in the book about how SamaeI was also an adversary to people like Abraham and I just think its an interesting book to talk about. (End note: If there is already a discussion thread about this book then I guess can be merged with this if thats possible)
