[Help] How do Psalms work?

I am listening to Psalms to make their magic work. It's a faint tingling at max and nothing happened yet. Other magic has stronger, heavier energies rushing through my body, sometimes the air goes thick. How does Psalm magic work? Will it work for anyone other than David the 2nd King of Israel? Do they work that well?

it's possible that you just don't connect with this particular current. can I ask what else your psalm-oriented ritual entails? personally I find it very effective to modify the concept of a novena, which is an italian folk magick practice my nonna taught me where you pray a rosary each day for 9 days. when i find a psalm that corresponds with the work i intend to do, i repeat it 9x for each of 9 days, which has the joint effect of reinforcing my will, connecting me w the divine current and connecting me to my ancestors.
