How to know howbto stop calling a spirit?

So I was trying to evoke Baron Samodi I just asked that he come forth and accept his offerings..but my question is was that actually enough to do? Or do I have to Say like "Come appear before me" 3 times? I can't feel energy yet so im not so certain I want to assume he was here though

I don't know if you "have to", but repetition would potentially be a good way to get possessed by something or other

Once that happens, I recommend, when you get tired of being possessed, simply asking the thing to leave before going into exorcism.

Sometimes the simplest solution works best.
