I was informed that using the Psalms can help in Psychic Self Defense, it is said the first 8 Psalms correspond to 8 Sephiroth in the Tree of Life, and by reading them daily I get blessings, what do you know about this? Can you share your experience with the Psalms?

The ps 91 and 121 are great for this.
The combination of 91/121 read in pairs seems to be quite nice.

I used to read a mixed selection of PS daily that included the 8 but I don't know the connection there. I found the mix to be spiritually great and often started the session from them.

It is explained in Aurum Solis book Psychic Self Defense, and it is said that Qabbalistic Orders use the same idea about 8 first Psalms and Sephiroth from Malkuth to Saturn. It is called The Kathisma.

Ah yes, the first kathisma. I don't usually read them from the kathisma books, although I have some Slavonic book with all the 20. It's a bit annoying to read the language and I rarely experiment with it. Takes too long to read.

I recall a suggestion to read 1-1 for protection and blessings.
I guess because the number 18 is considered a special number in Jewish culture because it is the the numerical value of the Hebrew word chai, meaning “life.”

In addition to 91 and 121. Also 23, 27, 34, 35, 46, 140.

The book of gold has some formulas

Can't edit, too late. I meant to write 1-18 not 1-1.

91, agreed!

I can recommend Hougan Jean Kent's (RIP) Master Book of Psalms for more information

For those who are comfortable with a Folk Catholic vibe, check out this episode of 'W's' St. Anthony's Tongue podcast where he used Deliverance prayers to perform an exorcism for a couple who really seemed to need one.

Hello, I just downloaded the Psalms book by Kent, about the Exorcism I am in fact annoyed my an entity, what can you tell me about this, I am very sure some one sended it to me, but Ive read from Quareia´s Josephine Mc Carthy that if a spirit is before Christianity, a Catholic exorcism wont work with it.

I think the language is like yes and no.
Much more important is the connection and how much you are in the mode.
I feel there are several factors.

1) Connection to the system, main system you work with
2) Then the connection to the particular PS, people like to speak of "unlocking them" as if some mantra. I suppose you could think of them as "mantras" in a sense, just a bit longer than an average 1-2 sentence mantra. A couple of PS are very short 117, 133,134.
3) How much you are in the mode, active work or too passive, how exactly you are reading them, the reading systems used.
4) Your level of openness. A high openness, being in the mode and any language will blast through with a fierce blazing energy.

I noticed a significant increase to all psalm work when I took a passive "hit" of eucharist, a dose of energy. They were all frying much more after it, all languages, transliterations as well.

Something does feel slightly more potent about Latin, Greek, Hebrew, Slavonic, then again when you read them in whatever language for long enough, you will still reach a point where the energy goes through like a waterfall, a very high connection. I can't really read Greek or Hebrew, I've experimented with some "transliterations"

This arises another question. Language being one thing, what about the version? KJV feels slightly more "juicy" but it's a bit annoying to read. NKJV, NIV,ESV feel great. The best thing is to experiment, try again, switch back, again, again and again, experiment, experiment, experiment.

I've read maybe 10% in English, 90% other. I'm not exactly sure of the %'s.

Per the Aber-Melin... always pray in your native language. If you would like me to find the page#, please let me know.

Ive heard is different if done in Hebrew

Hebrew has an advantage if it is understood. Otherwise, the practice is scrying not praying. There's nothing wrong with it unless the individual intends to be praying... not scrying.
