I am Nagaram or Nags he/they. 30. Central Kentucky, USA

I am an atheist materialist and that remains true about most parts of my world view. But the occult has always been fascinating because I see it as a physical manifestation of the psyche.

Magick is real to me but no more or less real than our own experiences. To me, my feelings are real, but to you, my feelings are nothing because you can't feel my feelings.

Magick works the same in my mind in that it is a way to change the world. Its just limited to your own perception of the world.

On top of that personal belief, I am deeply fascinated with the worlds of esptericism and how magick has changed over the millennia.

I spend a lot of time in books about ancient Greco-Roman world and pre Church Christianity. More and more I'm adding Bhuddism to the mix, but it's mostly Rome, Greece, and Egypt

If you're interested, I do have a blog.

thinkstoomuch.net

If you're not interested and just mad at me, my email is there as well. Please tell me why you hate me and I will consider the suggestions.

Welcome! I too am an atheist materialist (although I prefer physicalist because materialist usually means 'I don't believe you and I'm not listening anyway')

I believe that when people describe a thing as 'supernatural' all they are doing is throwing into sharp relief how little they understand about that thing. I classify all 'supernatural' things as natural things that we just don't understand yet.

I classify magic as 'the engineering of coincidence' or 'being lucky on purpose'. I also look at it as 'you don't change the world, you end up experiencing the version of the world where the change is present'. I consider this to be true for both kinds of magical act; normal and magical :)
