hypothesis for why humanity is facing difficulties involving resources/mental and physical health

There have been a lot so far but yeah. I've given it thought and I'm going to complain about a problem I see with humanity. This is generalized but I think I might know part of the reason why a lot of people might be facing mental health issues and/or struggling.


1. System not great just in general living getting more costly and the usuaI complaints about life but why? Its because I don't think we've been expanding enough to space. (It might also be because of wealth being centralized to create rich famiIies again instead of the meritocracy most people want and in my opinions societies should strive for) resources are dwindling and becoming an issue on other hunks of rock out there there's ice and other resources that can be used instead of depleting the planet we need to Iive on.


2. Another short thing is not enough funding in programs that can heIp peopIe overaII like space but other including enviromentaI and medicaI.


3. Globalization. I don't think Globalization is bad in of itself but when a society can get globalized suddenly its actually causes more isolation. Now most peopIe are becoming way more in-sync cuIturaIIy which means no new variety of peopIe and then tied to the no new expansion to space mean human mind might feel more isolated since I think humans are originally nomadic. Now that most peopIe are part of the same tribe no new groups of people for our nomadic minds to meet.


When peopIe are mostly nomadic oriented it means our brains might have got stimulated from seeing new cultures and new groups of peopIe. Now that peopIe are becoming more globalized it means people are getting more antsy and that takes a toll on our mentaI health. There's a saying variety is the spice of life now there's less variety now peopIe are suddenly feeling more isolated? Sure some of it can be blamed on less sIeep and poorly designed places with less meet up spots/socialization spots but I don't think its fully that. A part may be blamed in technology but I think the reason is that tech like phones made us a lot more globalized.


If I'm right then the loneliness epidemic should increase even after technology like phones have long been established which they partially have but maybe give it another 2-3 decades then see. Its our nomadic minds peopIe might need new stimuli so expansion to space/ocean since ocean still has barely been explored could help with these problems. It would also help the environment with space since new resources means less toll on earth and more resources for everyone.


On the occuIt side of things this might be affecting it too since everything has become more globalized egregores, entities/whatever someone personally subscribes too maybe ghosts could be affected too. I don't fully know how yet but the globalization of it all may have made less room for personal interpretations of these entities maybe. Some may not like being so standardized.

So I have a proposed solution of expanding the places where humans to space. Maybe not even to live at first maybe to just get more resources for everyone.

This relies on humanity being primarily a nomadic species though which I'm pretty sure what are origins are but if I'm wrong let me know!

I made this one since nowadays I see a lot of peopIe struggling with both physical and mentaI health especially with mental toil. I can't count the number of peopIe I've seen admitting to some form of anxiety or depression. I've heard there's a literal loneliness epidemic going around and I've heard from some studies an increase in mental health needs.

This might be partially why its increasing despite people being more connected to each other ever before through technology.

Interesting thoughts, you express.
On globalisation I see a trend that runs contrary to natural selection and evolution. People are becoming physically and psychologically weaker.
Ages ago, Schwarzenegger hinted at the contrast between technology and the way humans evolved to fight off real threats, by cunning, resourcefulness and aggression. That essential challenge has started to erode, creating the far weaker generation, predicted by H.G. Wells in The Time Machine.
Where I live, even physically, the population differs vastly from my 1960s to 1970s generation. Most are vastly overweight due to fast food and a sedate lifestyle. Others are undernourished due to the end of a social welfare system.
One big factor too is the drive by western governments to disregard the reality of racial identity. They assume somehow there is no difference whatsoever in that regard, and multiple communities of different cultures and faiths will all supposedly blend into harmonious, economic zones (where commerce is all that matters). To me, that sounds even more utopian and impractical than Lenin's communist world order.
That is, aggression and masculinity remains an evolutionary building brick, where we all struggle for survival. Competition is an evolutionary reality.
Lastly, the victim culture, now so popular. This is a kind of hyper feministic empathy that somehow idealises victim status. Years ago, a girl tried to steal my bike when she saw me unlocking the chain outside a public library. She rushed forwards, grabbed the bike and screamed, "Help, he's stolen my bike!" Being respectful of the opposite sex, I couldn't literally fight her but I certainly held onto the bike. A crowd soon appeared and it seemed as if this tactic by the girl would pay off and make me the villain. Fortunately for me, a security guard testified it was actually my bike. So, the last point here is a weak society becomes a victim seeking society where we obtain our objectives by gaining empathy, I er rational judgement.

Ok, here's the big picture as far as what is going on with society, culture, and humanity in these times: The industrial revolution was a thoroughly Faustian bargain, and now the piper has come to collect. We've built a society based on machines, standardized and interchangeable parts, disruption of complex systems, alienated individuals, hyper-rationality, and projections of endless expansion and growth (e.g. going to space). This way of life enabled us to turn energy-dense fossil fuels into incredible but unsustainable prosperity. Now, as fossil fuels become increasingly expensive to access (and so-called renewables face significant natural resource limitations right out of the gate), that growth has become difficult to maintain, triggering a power-grab as people are now competing over a zero-sum or diminishing pie. Meanwhile we have completely degraded our environment's life-sustaining capacity as well as our own psycho-spiritual well-being. In short, we face a wasteland of our own making, and now without the fun money that made the whole project seem initially appealing.

There are no solutions and it is only going to get worse.

One thing I can tell you based on long experience. Pure technology can evolve without human beings having too crucial a role. Either something works or it doesn't. A diode can only conduct when placed the right way in a circuit. An engine can only run if it's timed and the air pressure is correct. Yet, in the areas of knowledge that aren't mechanically, technically constrained, people have an uncanny knack for ruling out past experiences, and endlessly repeating the same mistakes. Areas such as history, anthropology, political science, even sometimes medicine. History especially. From what I found, authorities today interpret historical events in ways that totally ignore descriptions, and analysis of the actual events. That's because a well expressed (but wrong) opinion doesn't show any immediate symptom of catastrophic failure, as in the case of wiring a solar panel the wrong way round. So, as I see it, technology has to advance but we can lag way behind in those areas that require research, lack of bias, care in turning to past experience. Learning from mistakes made by others. I would go so far as to say you can't trust mainstream education or the various cult leaders that claim expertise in various ways. Then again, I guess I found the same path as Juddu Krishnamurti who stated you have to be a light to yourself.
It's really very worrying to see how easily mass populations fail to see how knowledge is being offered like a fashion line, that changes every so often. Part of the trick is not to follow a multitude but to actively seek an unbiased, considered conclusion.
