Greetings. My spiritual seeking has taken me in a giant circle, but in that circle I believe I have acquired some knowledge. I am drawn to Taoism, Martinism, Christian mysticism, gnosticism, advita vedanta, illuminism, and lately...dragons, or the dragon. I have a history in "the occult". I spent some time studying theology and hopping around churches. I feel I've always had a knack for tarot cards.

It's hard to say what I believe at this point. I did a short stint in Dragon Rouge way back in 2016 (just online as an American, no disrespect but I'm not the type to be involved with groups at this point)

Rediscovering a kind of gnostic "faith" is what's catapulting me toward whatever it is I'm heading to. I have a great respect for Christ, but I see him as more of a leader at this point than someone to be worshipped. My search for the dragon has given me a recent intuition that the Taoists have an accurate grasp on "God". In a sharp twist in things, I could even say it's similar to what I was just reading about "the chaos" in Liber Azarate. My impression of that work is that it puts a dark spin on gnosticism. You could call the divine spark the light, or the black flame, seems a bit like choosing light or dark format on X if you ask me. I admit I like some of the conepts of chaos, the black dragon, the black flame, but just as I'm moving away from worshipping Christ, I'm not about to offer worship to anything else (including Beelzabub or Belial) though I will say I'm a bit drawn to Lucifer.

I'm a big fan of Carl Jung, and this kind of flirting with darkness does something for me for sure. I cannot live up to the morality of Christ, but I do not desire to embody full chaotic satanic lawlessness. I could see me walking a kind of middle path. I mentoined Martinism. I admire it's attempts, but like Rene Guenon, I too think it falls a bit short overall as a tradition. I have a very lovely emblam necklace from them though, and I much enjoyed the work from their lodge in the Chzech republic, the first degree offers great insights on mysticism. They boast up Meister Echkart, I do as well.

I was active on this forum about 11 years ago now, I don't remember what I was called. I've been "in spirituality" (sure we'll call it that) since about 2012 when I started reading tarot cards, and searching. I had a kundalini experience while in Dragon Rouge back in 2016. I was confirmed as a Catholic in 2023, and managed to make it through the first 5 months devitioinal to the sacred heart of Mary. I haven't attended Mass since 2024. I still pray the Rosary every day along with some Catholic prayers, but my Catholic alter has a kind of gnostic spin on it (roosters on the top shelf)

This might be a bit overboard for an introduction, but I'll end by saying I'm searching for the dragon right now, that's what my intuition tells me. I resonate with the gnostic understanding of creation, and the trapped soul in samsara. I am aware of some of the dark groups that lurk and sow chaos. I consider myself neither an ally or an enemy to them, I merely wish to find my own way in this illusion. I have worn many masks. As I stand now, I am drawn to Taoist wisdom and wizardry, the tarot, soul trap / gnosticism, and the dragon, whatever that means.

Cheers

I never did get to attend a Latin mass, it was something I've always wanted to attend for sure.
