I came across a cursed book recently, a copy of 'The Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage'. The person who has the copy has experienced several paranormal stuff. How should I handle it.
Being a practitioner of tantra I would use the sacred chants of goddess kali to destroy any negativity related to the book. Due to the tantras being highly secretive I cannot share details.

If the Book of Abramelin poses a paranormal problem, one can, during an exorcism: invoke God and the 10 Archangels of the Sephiroth, and then the 72 Angels of the Shemhamphorash, to deactivate the magical and occult link of the book.
I collect burner books and historical magic items associated with famous events and people. I have a LARGE library of some really messed up stuff from other magicians libraries. Including many versions of your book in question.
I have items that the auction house had to close and relocate the items to another location because they said it haunted workers. I have jewelry and handmade stuff from Marie Laveau (reportedly haunted).
NONE of my items or books have ever had any effect on me or my surroundings. If they did I certainly would not bury them. Items with “power” are very sought after. Haunted by evil or not. There is a huge market.
Maybe sell it online and describe your experiences and warn the potential buyer.
It will sell pretty fast to people looking for that sort of thing.
If it is indeed haunted or has a spirit attached something very serious happened in the books presence. Either by mistake or by design. Some like to investigate the mechanics of how that works.
Trying to banish or cleanse could be disastrous considering you have no clue what your dealing with. Its like trying to cure an unknown disease with random herbs. You could cure the disease with randomness but chances are extremely high that you will posion yourself first.

As a side note Bloom has a great book “The sacred magician” where he documents his experiences doing the Abramelin and contacting his HGA.
