I'm going to give back to the forum by doing as the title says. I don't have a computer but I have a Samsung S25 Edge. Suggestions for turning this into a PDF file for y'all that isn't obscenely big?

You have the physical book? You can use simple scan documents application, some on those app allows to autosize the pictures and at the end convert all to pdf.. and update it to the share book section...

I think there are scanning apps where you can take a series of pics and stitch them together into a pdf. Thank you so much if you do end up uploading this one!!! I've been waiting for it to hit the uploads :D

You can use a scanning app or take pictures and compile them using an online site and convert them to PDF

It's not a book discussion when you're not discussing the content of the book. You'd want to ask IT questions in the Technology subforum.

Make GOOD photos, turn into shades of gray, contrast as high as possible, make pdf, compress pdf.

Try the app CamScanner. It will take ages, though, but the app does a good job of aligning and cleaning up pages.
Seconding camscanner. When I was closing on the house there was a lot of "several people need copies of this document and the master copy needs a wet signature" and I used camscanner to make sure everyone got a good, clean copy of the document they needed. It's gonna be an image for every two pages, which is a bummer, but the final product is worth the effort
