• Hi guest! As you can see, the new Wizard Forums has been revived, and we are glad to have you visiting our site! However, it would be really helpful, both to you and us, if you registered on our website! Registering allows you to see all posts, and make posts yourself, which would be great if you could share your knowledge and opinions with us! You could also make posts to ask questions!

I was wondering if I could get your thoughts on something.

I was wondering if I could get your thoughts on something. If I were to start translating the occult books I find interesting on this forum, would you consider that an acceptable thing to do? I mean, do you think it would be the right approach, or do you believe these books should only be read here within this community?

I've done some translations of non-occult books in the past. It's important to remember that translations belong to the original author. Also, that interpreting meaning is more important than just passing words through Google translate for literal meaning. In terms of the occult, if you're not fluent in the origin or target language, or at least proficient in the origin language, you may end up missing something important.

If you have the time, energy, and skill, go for it.

You're of course free to translate books into any language you like, just don't post them here.

Book Share Rule No. 8: You may only share books written primarily in English. Small portions of excerpts of other languages are allowed in the book, but if more than 50% of the book is not in English, then the non-English portion must be an excerpt or reference to historical occult literature (e.g. PGM).

Translations of non-English books into English are ok, of course.
