Hey,
So a while ago I had some bad stuff happening in my life and I “renounced” god for everything bad that was happening and I remember praying that I would never believe in him again if he didn’t prove he was real. That night the moment I shut my eyes I opened them again and I sat up and I looked towards my door and there was a figure that wore all grey robes with no visible skin and they asked if I wanted to see the devil? It was spoken more of a I could understand what they were thinking? So for whatever reason I put my head down on the foot end of my bed over the edge and it moved more towards me then I couldn’t see anything it was all black and it was unsettling not like I saw people being tortured but like I would never be at peace and everyone was screaming and it was just so loud like the loudest thing ever to make sure you never rested and I got so scared so I started begging Jesus to save me and I felt a bright warmth on my face and I could see again and the thing was gone and I crawled up to wear I was laying sitting up and started begging for forgiveness crying and when I woke up I was sitting up crying sweaty. I don’t necessarily believe in god or the devil I jsut want to know maybe what this thing is that I encountered. Also this isn’t the first time I’d seen it. I was playing video games and saw something out the corner of my eye and it was that same grey robes thing and when I looked towards it it was there then gone.
i don’t know atp I just want to try and figure it out.

It's hard to say exactly. However it could have been a number of things part of your own mind projected outwards.
According to Christianity faith is the import part so by proving to anyone that he exists the. He just fucked himself over by removing the faith part which is apparently so vital. There is a great explanation of this in the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy.
The whole argument runs, roughly, as follows.

God refuses to prove that (S)He exists because proof denies faith and without faith God is nothing.
Man then counters that the Babel fish is a dead giveaway because it could not have evolved by chance. So the fish proves that God exists - but hence also, by God’s own reasoning (see 1) that God does not exist.
God says that (S)He hadn’t thought of that (hadn’t thought of 2) and promptly disappears in a puff of logic.
Man then remarks about how easy that was (and gets himself killed on the next pedestrian crossing.)

Also the obsession withfocus on hell as punishment is a really recent thing in the church so it's stands to reason that a deity would have much better ways to relate. Also an ever loving God wouldn't be making veiled threats.

I see that. It’s just the fact I’ve seen it multiple times both awake and asleep and not like I caught a glimpse out of the corner of my eye but direct eye contact.
