[Help] Identifying Spirits

Hi all, I'd like to know what techniques/rituals/spells you use to identify spirits. For context there is a benign spirit in my home that I want to learn more about.

any sort of divination you're comfortable with could produce results. i like swinging a pendulum over upside down scrabble tiles. ouija could be good also
