Im new

Hey everyone,
Im new to Magick. Did already some research but it is really much to start. I dont know where or how to begin and what should i expect from it. Is it more like harry potter with a wand or more like rituals or something. Please anyone can someone lead me the way.

Welcome! You might like to begin snooping around what has gotten written in various books and sources. Magick is mostly about intent and conforming will with Will. Belief also plays a large role in occultism and obviously belief without logic is just dumb, so scientific credibility is often not encouraged enough in occultistic circles.

I have used magick in ALL of my incarnations on this planet. I'm not a new being here on this planet, in fact I am quite an old soul. I do magick frequently and will do some rituals again today when I have finished my work. Magick is to be practiced all the time throughout life, it's not something that you can stop doing and then totally forget about.

I do magick frequently and will do some rituals again today when I have finished my work. Magick is to be practiced all the time throughout life, it's not something that you can stop doing and then totally forget about

I would really start with meditation, taking cold showers (don't force them) and then with simple rituals as LBRP and LIRP. They are enough in the beginning stage. LIRP can also be used so that you do a circle and sit inside it until you feel fulfilled with Divine energies. LIRP in the morning and then LBRP in the evening.

LBRP = Lesser banishment ritual of the pentagram LIRP = Lesser invocation ritual of the pentagram.

Not really you just got to feel who are on which level and so forth. There is something called energetical signature on text which you can decipher alot from. But I would ask those that are before you that has studied occultism for some time. The learning curve in the beginning is pretty fast compared to later learnings.

Meditation then has alot of different techniques. Meditation like visualisation is good until you can get a clear image of whatever you want. It trains the mind to be more disciplined. For thought loops you can use the Zen-technique of repeating that thought or loop then it changes form to something else. Then meditation for beingness or "I Am" consciousness is very good for the rational mind to calm down. It is a bit hard to 'just be and breathe'. This you will notice later on.

A word of warning. Opening yourself up like this can be dangerous, since you have no way of knowing if someone who contacts you is legit, or just using you for their own ego trip. One of the first things taught in most magical and occult traditions is a protection ritual. The reason being is that it can take time to develop skills, and not all entities one comes into contact with are ... nice. The same thing goes with humans, and you really have no idea if someone who contacts you isn't under the power of, shall we say, problematic spirits. Read books, ask questions, but be careful.

This is a good point really and I would say that it was appreciated that it got written. For those abusing you, you should always trust your true inner intuition with any spirit or human being that is traversing your path. If it doesn't 'go with the flow' leave it as trouble can come from it.

I am myself in contact with alot of punished demons and helping theim come to conclusions, these entities might be aggressive to other human beings and really make someone's life a living hell. But for me because I am helping them they seem to more act according to their nature. So in this sense it's more to look at what you emit yourself and see from that to what kind of surroundings of entities you would like to place yourself. You can always ask angels for help or Arch Angels. Also prayers to God can be heard.

There are 2 paths to the world of magic. The hard way and the easy way. Meditate and search and resolve suppressed trauma is the best way to start.

I learned recently that your family can be a great source for knowing your magic. Researching your family tree and taking to elders can give you an idea what your tribe is best at. My grandmother is native and is where I get my healing/herb knowledge from (passed down by teachings and I assume genetics). You can branch out from there but it might be a good foothold for you too. Just like Amur said, your surroundings have a big part in your talents (known and unknown).

Amur has the correct starting point. Once you get better and comfortable with this we can add more detailed and more bigger things to work with.

I might want to add that solving traumas can take up to a lifetime to resolve, they do get better as you learn to surrender to the flow of those traumatic emotions then they usually hurt too much or then you can even resolve them. The best way to heal traumas is to walk barefooted in the summer all the summer and to everywhere, after 2 weeks your traumas will start to resolve through the pain of the foot sole.
