Welcome Krow. I wish you a nice stay here.
Aphrodite is quite intriguing I'd say. Love and War, Androgyne, she is tighted to the Assyrian people and actually to Ishtar, who is a Goddess already present in the Sumerian culture. I'm interested to dig more into this. With Ishtar (Inana) in mind, I'd love to hear more about your worshipping of and connection with Aphrodite.

I’d love to hear more about her connection to the Assyrian people I’m slightly new to most mystical things

Well, this is not so mystical I guess, but rather just the classic thing, you know: when a new culture or religion breaks in and want to spread and extend, it soon starts to incorporate older myths or gods or legends into its own truth, under a form or another. These also pass from one culture to another by natural human exchanges.
A standard example would be the Deluge from the Bible, which drew into the Mesopotamian culture: the XIth tablet of Gilgamesh story, which itself was translated from Sumerian to Akkadian.
Here, digging into Aphrodite and into Inana-Ishtar are related things, to a certain level I guess.

Your orignal post made me remember a strong connection I once felt with Ishtar, and maybe now is the time!

That’s cool! My name was given to me by something I had to make a deal with so it holds a lot of meaning to me
