My intention was just to lurk and sign up in order to get access to some book links that I was looking for, but those threads are locked while I'm logged in, presumably so that I write up an introduction, so here I am.
I'm going to go by tool on here, as it's an old affectionate nickname from someone I care about that keeps me grounded.

I've been into magic for a while. Aside from liking its use in videogames IRL I've dabbled in a bit of Catholic mysticism, prayer (obviously), meditation, hallucinogens (High doses of THC, mushrooms, DMT, acid, etc) alongside meditation, and have done a fair amount of reading in philosophy and theology for a layperson not really officially engaged in these pursuits.
I am mostly sober, no drugs but I enjoy alcohol and am studying to be a certified scotch professional.
I mostly work in refrigeration and gas for money, about 60 hours a week on average.
Currently reading "The Essential Catholic Catechism" by Schreck, and am here because I was trying to get a digital copy of Introduction to Magic by Julius Evola.
