There's a lot of talk about "grey man" philosophy in prepping circles, usually by wannabe operators and operator fanboys, but which is all about blending in, albeit without the esoteric component.

Something I do sometimes if I want something to remain unnoticed is throw a shadow over it. Misdirecting psychically can work as well if you can hold an image of something you want to direct attention towards. I've done this successfully by putting an object in one hand but making myself see it in the other. Other person almost always picks the empty hand. Not the same as invisibility, but a related skill I think.

Are we talking the same talk here @borbponderer ? Misdirecting?

Misdirection isn't invisibility but it about preventing something being seen which is related I think. Not sure how stage magicians do it, but I've used psychic/magical means with some success.

To make myself unseen I would most likely clear my head completely, focus all attention on my surroundings, and blend into it.

So, yes, read my above post where I mention my dream blanket. i think we use the same technique.

Very much the same or very similar, although when I throw a shadow over something else(not misdirecting) I think might be doing something different, but I used to do that long before I could enter such deep meditative states. I'm sure we are all drawing from the same pool of understanding, and it is very very old. I'm your typical alienated white mongrel with no recent ancestral knowledge to draw upon but I don't think that matters if you are willing to work at it.

What you said about animals is very true. They are exceptionally sensitive to all of this. My bird is extremely sensitive to my moods. If I'm anxious, he gets anxious too.

These days my main point of exposure is my divination blog that I've been running for the last nine years, and that I maintain under a pseudonym. I don't advertise my divination services locally and there aren't any nearby public venues like Meetup in which I might participate. The subject of occult invisibility is interesting, and I just wrote an essay on it that I haven't posted yet.

I've seen "invisibility" mentioned a few times from reading about the 72 Goetic demons. My intuition tells me it's a spiritual invisibility, to keep a low profile from spirits, and perhaps that will in turn direct their attention from you in the physical world.

Occult invisibility is something I've also thought a lot about over time. So far, I've seen the following methods which seem quite good and are either rituals or talismanic in nature:

1. Rose Cross Ritual - Sourced from the Golden Dawn materials, this one is noted to produce "invisibility" as a secondary effect. It basically creates a wall of spiritual energy to shield a space from other spirits, but it also has the effect of making you less noticeable in physical life. Modern Magick, by Donald Kraig, has a good rendition of this ritual and a good explanation of its effects. As this is a ritual, you will need to perform it again in order to regain the invisibility effect.

2. Hekate Invisibility Ritual - This one is sourced from Jason Miller's "Reversal Magick" book and is based on Hekate's power. I think it is meant to provide a powerful invisibility from spirits, but I think it also applies to the mundane world as well. No clue how long it lasts, but I think it might be meant to provide even more invisibility than the Rose Cross Ritual (whose primary purpose is not even invisibility). Again, you'd need to cast it again to regain the effect.

3. Solomonic Planetary Pentacles - A better approach from a time perspective is to use a talisman and a set of very potent talismans are the pentacles from the Key of Solomon lineage of grimoires. From the mather's version, I think one of the moon pentacles is specifically meant for invisibility while in the "Veritable Key of Solomon" (translation: Stephen Skinner), one of the Mercury pentacles is very good for this. I have not tried these personally, but I have bought a Jupiter healing pentacle from Frater Ashen Chassan and so far for me, it has been me in excellent health most of the time. if you create your own pentacle or order one from a reputable seller then this might be the best way to go. You can have the effect active for longer than a ritual, with a magical object that is keyed into the purpose of invisibility.

4. Arabic Hyena Talismans - There are also talismans made from Hyena skin which are common in Arabic and North African magical practice. I guess when used in combination with the Jinn, we are talking about talismans that can confer invisibility to the wearer, both to spirits and to mundane reality. There is the ethical question of if you want to use an animal product like this and if there are reputable sellers for something like this. The first answer is your choice, but I don't see any real reputable sellers for this online, so it is kind of a dud in my opinion.

5. Shielding / Black Egg - This is the basic method proposed by some folks who brought up Damien Ecchols. The basic technique of visualising a black shield around you with the intention to be invisible is a common approach. I have not tried it personally, but it probably has a chance of working. Franz Bardon also gives a good explanation of this in IIH which can be extrapolated to your own ritual / spell if you want.

Obviously as others have said, regardless of your choice, you should do what you can to make yourself and your practices discrete and inconspicuous. Mundane action helps magnify the manifestation of the ritual. So being loud and visible will blunt the effect ofthe magick.

I have a custom, daily-wear robe that features the symbol on my profile picture on its back and a few other symbols on other places. It comes with a hood that i wear, and I wear it 24/7 except for at work or while doing certain things at home. The important part is the mask though, i have a mask that goes over my mouth and nose tightly so that it is uncomfortable to speak, so that I choose my words carefully and dont waste energy of useless interactions and such. How do i not get targeted? I just mind my own business and when i am confronted, I am just very nice to the person, bless them, and leave. Most of the time they are too confused to pursue further. However, I also make sure to be kind and help others in my community. It is a smaller area so it stacks up quickly. So people will look at me and go "He may be an eccentric weirdo, but he is nice". To me, it isnt about being invisible, it is about being so respected or well liked that they dont care about it. It has actually gotten to the point for me where parents in the area have told their kids "Anything happens and we arent there, go to him." However, if you are trying to be truly a nonfactor, i have no clue how that is done.

I just became took steps to make it where if anything happened to me the whole town would be after the culprit.

Well, I think the first step in becoming invisible is the sort of not over-sharing. You see, the first problem stems from over-sharing. Now, this doesn't mean that you have to hide everything or be paranoid, but a little dose of skepticism is worth it.

I for one share as little as it is necessary when it comes to my occult beliefs with outsiders as I do not want to ever take the risk of someone with a questionable mentality attacking me based on my beliefs. I simply blend with the community and, I do not know about you but... just like I avoid discussing politics, I also avoid boasting about and over-share occult knowledge and beliefs and I get over it safe and sound.

Spiritually speaking now, I think invisibility can be achieved using a black colored aura. Black is meant to conceal things not obliterate them so it is safe to use when needed. Even in void meditation I use it to sort of "hide myself from the thoughts to stop the mental chatter". I imagine my head surrounded by the black aura, blocking all the thoughts and interference, making me myself completely invisible to mental attacks and thoughts when I am meditating.

So, short answer is: keep things nice, guard yourself spiritually based on the various techniques given by the members (now including me since I answered this topic as well) and also avoid over-sharing. Be more of a Scorpio so to speak ;).

As the title suggests, what do you do to keep yourself invisible? The church and many others including the political spectrum have been persecuting witchcraft to this present day. In what ways do you practise invisibility to maintain what you have created? Or what do you do to just not get noticed ? I prefer to lay low and bring attention to myself. I wear dark colours I pray to the divine to keep me from peering eyes. It usually works unless I forget to pray before I leave the house. The golden dawn system is interesting though I don’t practise ceremonial magic myself. Damion Echol says to meditate and invision a black egg around you. I’ve tried this but not sure if it works. The book invisibility by Steve Richard’s is good but dated. Is there any new ways of being invisible ? What do you do?

@futureshop I'm a data privacy advocate, and so I have a lot of habits to maintain privacy online. This goes well beyond not posting things like info that can be used to doxx me, to covering the 3 points of tracking online: use a VPN always and change locations for WF specifically, use a privacy-focused browser that masks one's fingerprint, and then advert and cookie-blocking. Nothing about WF or the occult touches my phone. Ever. Unless you know you're running a custom OS and done a lot of work for a privacy-focused phone, consider your phone compromised.

Most forums include Google tag manager trackers, including WF, which is fine, but it means that when I'm on here, there's a small number of other sites I would visit at the same time. I pop in, read and comment, then I'm out. Google keeps a tremendous amount of info on each of us, and so I would love to leave the "religion" category strategically blank in that database, and not let "other" or anything specific enough to pin me as a pagan be added. But I also only use one corporate social media outlet for sharing cat videos anyway, so not exactly a loss there.

Seems kind of paranoid to think there is any organised persecution nowadays in the western world. People can be personally nasty without the need of some grand conspiracy.
