Try looking at some sigils, they are attached to thoughts stored in the will and you can access them by just looking. The will is like a database of thoughts stored as part of the simulation.

I would recommend to look at a specific type of magick which interests you and try to study the basics about it before doing anything else.

Try the simpler parts of said crafts and see which you like and are comfortable with. After that try to do the spells you think are the most attrached to.

I am pretty sure that the library has some good beginner books about simple, easy spells and rituals.
