Today, in a land well-removed from the Benighted States, someone warned me about "possible epidemics" in this season, including pneumonia and dengue fever. They CLAIMED this was on the net from "official sources." I allus thought that pneumonia was like Jesus' poor and student loans: that which is always with us. As for dengue fever, I'm living nearly 40 degrees North. Mosquitoes, that carry the malady, aren't much of a problem when temperatures freeze like lately. Especially when that particular strain of bug peters out somewheres in the northern suburbs of Hong Kong.

Apparently, like blood to a vampire, jailbait to a Jeff Epstein, and white powders & POTUS' son, so too some people cop a fear fetish. If the sky isn't falling, they isn't happy.

A couple of months ago London was preparing for a new pandemic:

Measles!
That's what comes from schooling kids in the dictum, "You can never be too safe." Better to brainwash wee bairns with the old tale about the Lacedaemonian lad and the fox cub.
