I’ve been listening to Jason Miller’s class and he says curses are the easiest form of magic. Thoughts?

I’ve been listening to Jason Miller’s Hekate class and whenever curses get brought up, he says that it is the easiest form of magic because it doesn’t require skill. I was wondering what other people‘s thoughts were on this. I’m pretty new to this, and I previously thought curses may have been one of the more difficult forms of magic because it has such a long-term impact and causes so much damage.
I was wondering if anyone had experience with this and if it was easier or harder to get results compared to other magic you’ve tried? It sounded counter intuitive to me but I wanted to get a read from people who are more involved than me.

Its easier because it can be inflicted by an idiot to another idiot. You will find that most serious magicians dont feel the need.

There has been some conversation about that before, my take is that I see it as way to let go off something rather than keep it in. Just "throw and let go". But I am a petty bitch, so.

When does it become okay for you to throw a curse?

Half a decade ago, I was a hot-headed prick who would throw some because "insert immature reason that actually was about me". Some did work and the target was never the same. Some was just a flicker in a storm. Some blew in my face bid time. Learned that it wasn't a toy old school way...

Its something a lot of us can do, but choose not to. Because it is a waste of time.

It’s also easier to get backlash from it by not knowing how to protect oneself first.

What is sad is that I have to say, "in my humble opinion" to things like this, because of the number of fans of people like him.
Popularity and influencer status does not decide who has actual skill.
All I have to say about Jason Miller is prove it. He can't. He is a circus show.
On the idea that curses are easier, that would make sense if the evil majority had any skill or actual power, which they don't.

Exactly. I dont curse people for any reason, personally. I believe that the anger and hate can be channeled into a very useful energy surplus for other things. The energy is too useful to waste.

Curse being the easiest thing to accomplish? It is one of the easiest things to get self-deluded in. One can attempt to curse another then see some minor mishap to happen in the life of the "cursed" and think that it is the result of the "curse". Same way, if curse was done in the face then victim starts seeing all kind of minor mishaps as results of the "curse".

And most of the so-called black magicians can't do such an "easy" thing, so when they fail hard with their magic attempts they choose crude violence like beating someone or killing someone by means of knife or gun.

Also curses are connected with huge possibility of backfire. It is hard to pull of effective curse and it is also hard to not get backfire. I saw many examples of failed practitioners who tried to curse someone and destroyed their own lives instead.

That’s a good way of putting it. Maybe it seems easy because bad things are always happening and it can be blamed on the curse so you think it’s connected to the magic.

Consider a sky scraper. It takes a lot of time, material, and man power to construct. But it can be demolished with a single explosion or large impact. The same can be said of most structures.

Think also of businesses and reputations. Both take time to build, but can come to ruin quite quickly for the most ridiculous and unforeseen reasons.

The principle is universal. It encompasses magic too. If only other forms of sorcery were as effective as a curse, then we'd all be rich.

True. One has to know extremely well how to do it, otherwise the practitioner self get in troubles. One of the lesser problems is that people feed their own hate and emotional problems, the bigger problems are life altering to a large degree. This is one of the reasons why I keep cursing at bay in my praxis. It is not that I never had the wish to do so. But, ignoring a person and using the energy of hate in something else is much more easier than dealing with the effects of a curse with backfire..... I have to admit, the moment I accepted that I could hate another human, was liberating. The moment that I accepted that I hated certain things in myself, was even more liberating. For me it is liberating to accept that negative emotions are allowed too.

I try to avoid it purely because I don't like feeling guilty for hurting other people, even if it's justified. But sometimes exceptions can be made. If I must do it I'll opt for a hot foot spell. It gets rid of an enemy without causing any real harm.

I agree with Jason, the fact that they are easier does not mean the ones you throw in a tantrum will last long. For a strong and serious curse you need to know what you are doing, 90% of the time the so called "curses" are jinxes and easily removed.

So maybe it’s more like it’s easy to throw a jinx but curses take much more effort and commitment.

I see what you’re saying! He compared it to using a knife to preform an operation vs stabbing someone to death where it doesn’t require much skill to stab someone to death. Personally I think any kind of sympathetic magic healing or cursing is extremely difficult! Maybe cursing is easier than healing but I don’t think it’s easier than any kind of self improvement magic or anything done on oneself.
