Hello everyone, I am curious peoples thoughts and experience with Julius evolas work, surrounding groups like the UR society, and people etc.
I know he can be considered controversial but I just got a copy of the path of cinnabar and would like some more info over all on his pursuits.

So if you can ignore his political philosophy he has a lot of amazing insight on Initiation (as this is really the forte of the Traditionalists) and even though his stance is that Initiation has to be from a lineage I think that his work is fundamental in understanding how to successfully perform independent initiations (without teachers or groups).

Evola seems to harbor some remnants of the Mithraic tradition and his occult insight and personal philosophy of self empowerment are HIGHLY practical for anything falling under the realm of Sol and his sphere.

He is a darling of that annoying section of LHP the esoteric fascists but for good reason, if you can walk that line and dig through his work with the ability to discern where his politics are influencing his occultism then I think he's an incredibly potent tool for inner alchemy and Initiation especially when we approach higher forms of Divine Masculinity and the actualization of our Solar authority. But this being said, Evolas downfall was his existence specifically within this type of occult current his Ego was his occult strength and his downfall. Like Icharus when we approach Sol if we spend too much time in his sphere unchecked we combust.
