Hi people, I recently found a webpage where the jeweler, supposedly sells all sorts of amulets and talismans, ranging from Kabbalah talismans, king solomon seals, zodiac and four element talismans and sacred talismans.
1.-My question with this type of pages is that if the information there is really based on a real grimoire or a true traditional path of magick (ceremonial magick, jewish magick, western tradition, eastern tradition, etc), so the claims for each talisman are truthful. The creator of this webpage says for the Kabbalah Talismans the next text: "
According to Kabbalah, the letters created the world. This statement goes beyond its usual meaning of the importance of language for interpersonal communications, civilization etc.
It is believed that each letter carries unique energy attributes. The words and sentences made up of the Hebrew letters acquire both power and meaning beyond their superficial, literal meaning. Therefore inscribing appropriate words or sentences on the amulet is crucial for its effect.
The words are therefore more important that the material used to make an amulet. However, strong, stable, noble and natural materials will better preserve the inscriptions to the smallest detail.
The text fragments on the amulets most often come from the Torah (Five Books of Moses), Psalms and prayers. It may be a whole sentence, several letters or several words from the sentence, joined together to form the inscription. As it is believed that the Sacred Texts precede our World and Creation itself, the power in the inscribed symbols aligns the bearer of the amulet with the path of Creation and protect him/her against evil and mischief.
With these unique jewelry designs, we provide the opportunity to connect with the ancient powers of Jewish mysticism."
2.- So for my second question we can take the example of 1 of these kabbalah talismans and its claims, and the question is that, does these claims can be real at all, and based on some true magical tradition?:
YOD ON POMEGRANATE: DIVINE GUIDANCE AND PROTECTION:
Metal: Fine (pure) silver .999. Size: 2.8cm (1.1 inch).
The description that appears on the webpages is as follows:
Beyond their phonetic sounds, Hebrew letters hold mystical meanings and numerical values, serving as a gateway to uncovering profound spiritual truths.
The Power of the Yod Talisman: Divine Guidance and Protection
Wearing a Yod Talisman connects the wearer to the infinite Divine spark, the source of all creation. This sacred symbol carries profound spiritual energy, offering:
Divine Protection: The Yod acts as a shield, surrounding the wearer with divine energy that guards against negativity and harm.
Guidance and Clarity: As the Yod governs the balance between spirit and matter, it helps the wearer stay aligned with their higher purpose, offering clarity during difficult times.
Strength in Unity: Yod symbolizes unity within multiplicity, reminding the wearer that they are never alone. It fosters a sense of connection to the greater whole, bringing comfort and inner peace.
Manifestation and Creation: As the source from which all things emerge, Yod empowers the wearer to manifest their desires, aligning their actions with divine will.
Renewed Faith and Trust: Just as every verse in the 10th stanza of Psalm 119 begins with Yod, this talisman encourages trust in God’s hand at work, especially in moments of uncertainty.
Wearing the Yod Talisman is like carrying a spark of the Divine — a reminder that everything returns to the source, where all possibilities begin.
Why the Pomegranate?
The pomegranate holds deep spiritual and symbolic significance across traditions. In Exodus 28:33-34, the robe of the High Priest (the "robe of ephod") was adorned with pomegranate images, highlighting its sacred connection. The pomegranate also appears in 1 Kings 7:13-22, where it decorates the capitals of the two pillars standing before King Solomon’s Temple in Jerusalem. It is even said that King Solomon designed his royal crown based on the “crown” of the pomegranate.
