Well, well, well. Anyone know if there's any basis to these very serious accusations? If even half are true then this is some grim-ass shit.

As a grim trad goetic magician I disavow all of this, if it's true. At the bigger level, I hate this stuff because it's stupid, nasty, and has nothing do with Goetia - except for maybe La Voison and a few other historical psychopaths. This hot garbage is the original BALG Dark Fluff, hallucinated up by know-nothing wannabee edge-lords in some dank castle in the Black Forest.

Honestly, whenever any sort of "cult" gets allegations of sexual assault/abuse or fraud or conspiracy, it's usually true. Especially with LHP or Satanic stuff.

I'm not saying 100% that this group you mentioned is guilty, but when you put a bunch of easily impressionable people into a group ran by edgy people who are proud of their lacking moral standards, things like 14 year old girls getting raped and members being drugged and people being murdered at the orders of the group leader often tend to happen.

TBH I find the whole concept of Satanism to be silly because Satanism only exists to be "contrarian to Christianity" and cannot exist in a vacuum. Building a religion off of "we're the opposite of that religion" is stupid in the first place and will only attract rebellious teens and delusional edgelords, neither of which present a particularly good image to the world at large.

You might be opening some real can of worms there. Didn't want to speak about it but fine, silence is not always wisdom.

Assuming on what I watch about dangerous cults on YT, if there are charges, few will end with guilty, the rest will prbably be dropped for not having enough of evidence.

It's sad, that these dangerous group exist and they exist across the spectrum of religions and I assume through the spiritual and occult practices as well.

There was a case of supposed Vampires who started with edgy style, and went to brutal things with animals and ended with endinf human lives. I wonder if their leader still lives, he was sentenced with electric chair.

So this kind of stuff doesn't surprise me anymore. Young ones really do want to rebel from their parents and that brings them to various groups. That itself is not necessary bad thing, but sometimes it unfortunately ends bad, when person gets among bad people...

Meh. Those worms escaped their cans a long time before now.

I lived through the 1980's Satanic Panic... and in Texas. While false accusations must be guarded against, one thing we learned is we must face allegations head on.

Blanket dismissals only make you look like you have something to hide.

Not you individually, but any groups in question.

Now they are mutating again. (Go seek and be horrified by Neo-Nazi "folk" pagan groups on Telegram.)

Hope you made it through without a problem.

And you get a point. Though in that way we would have to say that they have never been in a can in the first place. Nowadays... the environment is fertile for them. Though I consider myself lucky not to be in contact with any of those.

I initially expected some more low-information evangelical hysteria . * rolled eyes * but the guest, Conrad Flynn is a LA writer and producer.
Shockingly he is more and better educated than many witches, neopagans and magicians, but twists it around

I was actually shocked to find he's friends with Mitch Horowitz, who I think is great (because he is).

But it's more a little unfair to call Mitch a Satanist, in a pejorative sense, on a media forum with huge visibility.

Although he does identify as one, he is not what the average person has in mind when thinking of what that really means.

"Ecumenical, " is a better word for Mitch.
