Looking to perform the DSIC however do not have necessary equipment. Looking for advice

Following Rufus Opus' suggestions from Angelic Grimoire he says you can draw the Table of Practice with paper, use a bowl of water in place of the crystal and use two fingers as a wand.


Not saying I do not beleive in his abilities or experience but he personally mentioned he had never perfomed the ritual without a wand. Has anyone performed this ritual these substitions?

There are a lot of steps from "using two fingers as a wand" to "a black ebony wand with gilt characters", same with a lot of the other accoutrements...I have never done it with a full ebony wand, though I have used my fingers, a found stick I consecrated, and an ~8in dowel rod. I have used a bowl of water and a glass orb for the crystal, and I woodburnt my own Table of Practice, though I drew it on a piece of paper before that.

In my experience, the more time and effort you put into procuring/creating the materia, the more stable "ground" you have to work from, so your mind can focus on encountering the spirits...but it is possible to do it with very little.

I would recommend thinking of what is possible atm for you to procure - maybe you can't do the full ebony wand or create/buy a table of practice right now, but you CAN....idk, find a sufficiently wand-y stick that will look nice painted black after you whittle it down a little, use a cardboard table of practice that you sealed with Mod Podge so it would last a little while, and scry out of a "fancy" crystal goblet you got at an antique store. Or something. Try experimenting with different things and see what works for you.
