It’s always subconscious my control and feels like a sham that you can be as lucid as you are in waking. I’ve tried many times. Is this normal? And the quality of dreams feel low quality to like outer space.
Lucid dreaming from my experience doesn't necessarily mean that your dreams are now occupied by your waking conscious self, but that your dream self is now aware he is dreaming and can control it, and you are experiencing it through him. What your dream self does rather depends on how in sync you and your dream self are.
Me personally, my dream self is not always aligned with my waking self and he can pass off some pretty incredible things as quite normal, so it takes quite a lot of effort for me to induce lucid dreaming, and even then there's no guarantee he'll act in accordance with the desires of my waking self.

Thanks for your input. I’m not sure how in tuned myself is with dreaming, I have constant nightmares from getting into occult. But some people I’ve read seem to have liberating experiences in their lucid dreaming.
diet is really hard tbh. Raw fruit and vegetables to be more specific but a regular protein diet is more manageable.

Most of my dreams, non-lucid, could be considered nightmares by most people though it rarely fazes me anymore. It has been a long time since they bordered on night terrors and actually affected my waking life.
There was a stint where every time I went to sleep I was being eaten alive by something or other in my dreams, and for probably about a month I forced myself to stay up for 2 or 3 days at a time to avoid it. That was years ago, and while I can't really explain how or why that occurred or why it stopped, I live a lot healthier now, in diet, physical health, and hygiene (bodily and environmentally), so if you are deficit in any of these areas, I'd recommend tackling them first before struggling too much against the content and quality of your dreams from the occult perspective.
While I am sure you already do this as it's practically a prerequisite to achieve lucid dreaming, make sure you're keeping a dream diary, and be sure you never skip a night, even if you have to almost make something up just to write anything down. I've noticed in my own practices that if I grow lax with writing dream diary entries, I will lose my ability recall slowly but surely and I find myself back at almost square one again, so having that discipline is also very important.
