Hello,
I thought we might want to discuss occult magazines, and share our views and preferences about them. It's a lively field, and a very valuable resource for various topics. It could be an interesting discussion, revealing some gem articles.
Generally speaking, I like Hellebore a lot. It specialises in British folklore, and I find the articles therein well documented and sourced, with (more often than not) an interesting social perspective, linking the occult to everyday reality. I keep following them and reading their new issues.
I have read the first 8 volumes of Darklore, on everything occult. While there are some articles that I liked and found interesting and informative, I was quite disapointed to see articles stating as facts things that are known to be wrong. The journal publishes speculative articles, and I'm fine with it, but to me speculating is not using false facts.
I have read the republishing of the first 3 issues of the Fenris Wolf (which, actually, is a selection from these). Definitely some interesting articles, but I missed a consistency and probably won't engage in reading the rest.
That's about it. What about you?
