Magic Circle necessary to use when evoking Shem Angels?

Hi all,

I am a minimalist not by choice. So temple supplies are a bit costly. Add to that my Greek and Hebrew need serious practice again.
When working with Shem Angels, do you use spiraling pattern of the 216 lettered name of God?
Must they then be asked to stay seated in the triangle?
Or is it safe to not use circle and triangle if not invoking?

If necessary, I have seven martial arts belts that can be taped together, with paper taped to each side of the belts, this would yield approximately a fourteen foot circle standing on edge, 3D like.
