Hey everyone!
This is my first post here. I’ve been reading occult books for a long time but have been hesitant to actually apply anything I’ve read. A big part of that hesitation comes from confusion and trying to figure out which texts are worth working with — there are just so many grimoires and books on magick/occult topics.
I’ve read a lot of them, and right now I’m going through The Antichrist Training Manual by Raymond Holder. It’s a bit humorous on the surface, but I get the sense the author is serious about the system he’s presenting. It reads like a working magickal system using older-style terms like “sorcery” and “recipes,” and I find it pretty interesting.
That said, I’m curious if there are other books out there like this — specifically, effective working systems that claim to offer “ancient secrets” or practical frameworks, beyond theory or history. I guess you could say I’m looking for material that feels like a structured practice rather than just academic/introductory content.
I’d really appreciate any recommendations, insights, or personal experiences you all can share!
Thanks in advance!
