[Help] Magick that alters the physical plane

Hi I'm new here and pretty much a complete begginer in anything occult related, was just curious if anyone knows about any kind of magick that can have a direct effect on the physical plane, does anything like that actually exist in occultism in general?

Sure . All the time . However I think you might have a different , unrealistic or conditioned view about it .

If your question is based on the idea of breaking the laws of nature and physics obviously and simply ; say by waving a wand and saying some words ... then I would say no .

'Direct effect' is something I dont bother too much about seeking ; I am more interested in results , regardless of what 'effects' cause them .

As Crowley put it: "it is theoretically possible to cause in any object any change of which that object is capable by nature" which really means that all direct magic is going to look like coincidence.

IMO, direct magic works best when it affects information.

It is possible, but it is not easy. A magical spell can easily form in the astral, but then it takes quite an effort to manifest that spell onto the physical plane. Magicians typically manifest that spell using anchors such as rituals and ceremonies, or consort with spirits who have greater ability to manifest and alter reality. However, the intensity of those manifestations differs. It is possible to experience miraculous manifestations you might be thinking about. However, this requires considerable effort. For example, years of repeated rituals would help you increase the strength of your own magical power (can also be read as black flame or light of creation) to transgress the laws of reality. Obtaining divine authorities, having close relationships with spirits etc. can wield such capabilities. But they take years of effort. For beginners, it is easier to influence intangible aspects of reality, such as emotions, luck etc.

Considering demons exist outside of the confines of time, would it be theoretically possible to ask the spirit to change a piece of information in the past to have an effect in the present?

Like influencing the result of a coin flip that happened a month ago and resulted in you loosing 5 dollars, would you get that money back all of a sudden or would that create another reality where you never lost it, just a thought.

Do you know of any ways I can start honing these abilities? I'm just starting my journey into the occult but it would help to have an idea of where I should be heading to reach my goals sooner

Whatever the source of the change, if you succeeded, you would end up with memories of things that never happened. Or rather, they happened to a version of you that would be in disagreement with everyone else, and all evidence. You would remember losing five dollars, but no-one else would, and you would still have the five dollars.

This is fine when it's only five dollars. But too much of this and you will find the number of things you remember differently to everyone else makes you look crazy.

That sort of thing can fuck you up. Best to only try and change things that you don't already know about.
