I’m trying to understand magick at the level of categories and specializations rather than jumping straight into techniques.
From your perspective, what are the major categories or “lanes” of magick (for example: ceremonial, folk, spirit-based, devotional, chaos, divinatory, etc.), and what is each primarily used for?
For each category, what kind of mindset or personality tends to gravitate toward it, and who are one or two well-known practitioners or authors that genuinely exemplify that lane?
My goal is not to collect systems, but to identify which category I naturally resonate with so I can study it deeply and learn from specialists rather than staying shallow across many paths.
