Been on a bit of quest but have had very little success and I found this forum in a search and sounded like maybe the kind of thing someone here would know of or maybe know someone who does. So here it is..
Im trying to find more detailed information on Margarete Ward and the the book she published in 1936, Gong Hee Fot Choy. The information around that period regarding her, at least that I can find, is rather generalized. It says she self published the book prior to 1936 but there is no actual information about it. Even auction history databases have never shown a copy of the self published ever being sold and its making this very frustrating. I have a copy of Gong Hee Fot Choy that is a 1935 copyright and has small variations on the title page, etc and the publishers address shows Margarete and her address during the Great Depression. This convinces me this is her self published version but would love to talk to someone a bit more authortative on it than myself.
