Hey . I missed this before ; '' every kata we have has occult lore to them as well as it’s animal ''

Can you tell me more about this ? Interesting !

Kata I practiced ; 5 Pinans , 3 Naiharchins, 2 Passai , ( and here I know of a few animal associations ) Rohai ( heron ) , Chinto ( with an associated 'mythic history' * ) Gojushiho, Kusanku , Hakatsuru ( crane ) - and some 'weapon taking forms' ( like 'Nobudi Nogata' - thats obscure though, I dont know its history ) ... the system I practiced was associated with 'white crane' but know of no occult lure association . I would be interested to find out about that , especially if you know of any associated with these kata .

* Chinto was supposedly a shipwrecked Chinese pirate turned bandit on Okinawa that Bushi Matsamura ( the systems founder ) went to arrest but could not defeat him, so made friends, learnt some things and developed Chinto kata out of that .
