I've been browsing the programs they have available at the Monroe Institute and before I start putting aside some funds to attend I wanted to ask if anyone here has attended a program at the institute, and if the investment was worth it !

I don't know, their webpage doesn't really seem convincing.
Why don't you rather take a look at the library? In the end you need to practice skill to master it.

If you want the entire program I should have it somewhere, I found it from some user on Reddit a few years ago. There are even some records on YouTube, try it there so you can feel if it's for you.

Personally, I have never tested it, so I can't tell you if it is valid or not, but I have read several enthusiastic opinions about it.

That said, it does not seem to me that it is specific to astral travel but more than anything else to increase the capacity for manifestation. If your interest is merely that of astral travel, I also recommend the folder that he recommended @Morell .

I posted a while back in another thread with a link to the Gateway Process files, which IRC includes the manual. I'm not sure if that's also what @MehenVox was going to share or not.

The Gateway Process isn't for everyone, so you might as well try it before you buy. Just like learning a language, I expect the self-directed courses can only get you so far compared to in-person.

I haven't, but like Swampdeller I suggest looking into the gateway tapes which can be found in various places online for free, recently I've found them on Spotify (if their linked files don't work for you). Various AP subreddits may also have several links to them or sometimes you can find some on Youtube (also in their linked post). Just make sure the full audio is the meditation because people have chopped the tapes up with ads or posted them partially to avoid copyright or get ad revenue. I've never heard of anyone who didn't get results working through the tapes, at the bare minimum it's a great meditation. Most people repeat one tape multiple times (if you feel so called) before moving to the next to really get a natural grasp on whatever meditative level or other concept he introduces, or also revisit previous ones as they begin new tapes. You can also find Monroe's book pdfs online which are interesting and informational by themselves.

I realize this is an older post.
But, as a rule of thumb on most everything, I look at success stories. If they have success, they will use it to advertise what they use for success.

Have you ever seen any actual success stories associated with Monroe? Anything? Crickets chirping...

This rule applies to just about everything you look at. Ask the people who can, who do, who have skills, and trust that they are not selling you snake oil to keep an organization floating while paying bloated salaries to the staff that has no skills or talents.

The other aspect is the rule of cost. If it is priced at a point that most people would have to take out a loan or save up for a long time, it is total garbage.

I found some files related to the monroe institute on reddit ! I haven't had the time to sift through them and properly digest the information given but when I do i'll make a new thread about my experiences using the files !
