As someone who has never heard of her before: wouldn't it be a better idea to first go ahead with the spellwork and then see how / what you can do to connect further instead of immediately "worshiping" an entity that you apparently also don't know too much about.
A quick internet search of 2 seconds points to a connection with the sea and mermaids, so that should be a good starting point. Mondays, water, purple or blue candles, abstaining from eating fish to show love for her creatures etc.
