One of the first LPs I bought

Black_Mass_Lucifer.jpg

'' Moog * goes supernatural with eerie electronics '' :D

* Moog - first generation of ' musical synthesizers '

On myparents old stereo , this album could be played on all speeds ; 16 , 33 , 45 or 78

16 was wildly strange and 78 was hilarious :)

I was just about to mention the MOOG when I saw your post! So I don’t know if you’re familiar with Mort Garson (his largest claim to fame probably being the album Plantasia), but he created several albums specifically for the occult and honestly they’re definitely chilling.

Would recommend Peter Gundry. He is a composer with a few albums (all based on the occult) most notable to me being "Goetia".

I'm a big fan of this one, but pretty much every song by David Tibet should probably be on here.

There was this great Polish thrash metal/blackened thrash metal band called Kat (Executioner) whose lyricist and singer, sadly passed by now, could write some really nice lyrics inspired by the occult, primarily in the LHP vein. He mostly drew inspiration from a Polish poet of the interwar period, Tadeusz Miciński, but was a bit more brutal in his metaphors.

Apart from that, I've really been on a Midnight kick recently. :D It's black'n'roll with some kindermetal occult themes, but I love it, it's fun!

What's kindermetal? translated to german it would mean "childrensmetal" :D

Yeah, exactly that! I mean, their use of occult themes is not exactly deep, they're used for shock value more than anything. :) But it's fun!

BLACK WIDOW is the sound I get when I play any prog rock track. :giggle:

They should just be called PROG ROCK BAND #43984000

No offence. I'm sure my taste of music sounds bad to all and sundry.

Why are they called PROGRESSIVE rock when from day one to now they all are making those same sounds? When WILL they progress?

That's a joke btw.

I liked the British Indie music of the 90s. All the bands had a similar beat but they also could be distinguished easily.

Make your own kind of music, folks. What gets on TV is probably THE MAN.

Almost all of the music I produce is heavily inspired by the occult. However, I do not post it online and prefer to keep a minimal footprint. You can find most of it listed on Discogs; I did stop adding to the list there because I don't want everything known - I will send cassettes to almost anyone who mails in for them, though.

I am surprised no one has mentioned the Italian cassette/industrial scene from the 1980's. For some reason, the cassette culture never died out and has always been very strong in Italy. There is a huge area of musicians that focus on occultism through their sound, and I can think of more than a few artists that produce excellent ritual music:
