Lastnight I spent 3 hours watching those YT reaction videos. Videos of ppl reacting to Ghost Lachryma, or Satanized.
Something so satisfying seeing peoples physical reactions to the intentional seduction. The push of the beat, the tension in the dark rhythm coupled with the micro expressions in their faces at the pop style hook that doesnt belong. The sinister tension, the dark undertones in the themes that force them to sit with, then seeing them turn into fans as they dismiss their own Abrahamic lens and enjoy the video.
Something satisfying to me about that. Especially when rap fans react. They come from the lens of music that objectifies drug use, shootings, sexual promiscuity, but the devil is bad somehow hahaha. Hypocrisy on full display and Im here to watch their frameworks get dismantled in real time.
Yeah, weird way to spend an evening I know. Human reactions are great to music though. Seeing women's reactions, men trying to posture when the music cuts through and brings up something deep. Yeah, the body doesnt lie, even when our mouths do.
Anyway, those two song slap, even though its corny and dated as hell. Still cool though.
