[Help] My physical body tries to astral project with my real body.

Hello! I am new here and I am seeking some advice from experienced astral travelers. I have been struggling to astral project for many years. I've read books, I've tried working through the gateway tapes, I've done many exercises and rituals in attempts to open my 3rd eye. Despite this, I am reliably reproducing the same results, and I cannot find anything online about this specific pitfall.

I will make it into trance, get into the vibration stage, and feel my astral body start floating up. But then, my physical body will rise with it. I will start jerking like I am having a seizure, and be fully aware while being in a strange half-sleep paralysis. Then my vision will become split. One side of my vision will be normal, the other in black and white and the sizes of things skewed.

I have reproduced these results about 20-30 times. Because of this I am unable to make it through the first wave of gateway tapes.

I do have a health condition which has damaged my central nervous system, so I wonder if this is simply my body's fight or flight mechanism stopping me from separating?

You are trying so hard. Ask your Soul for permission to leave your body. You see, I don't exit at will. I exit whenever my Soul allows me to do so. I don't force none of my OBE'S at this point.
