What are the popular mystery Cults, and how would we reenact a rite from them? Do we know all the ancient rites by category have been salvaged and maintained over time?

While I believe there must some that survived up to these days, most problably are based on uncovered historical facts, guesses and maybe some adaptations from cults/beliefs of nowadays.
The only I can think of right now is the Eleusinian Mysteries.

Bacchus, Eleusinian, others exist I'm sure, possibly the largest are the Essenes or Gnostics in terms of my paradigm, as well as Rosicrucians and such. There is also sun and moon worship.

Hall also put is a good quote on Joshua, the son of Joseph and Mara, who ignored all but the Essenes. Interesting spelling, but have already come to grips with the names of Emmanuel, Jesus, Yeshua and Joshua. Have already seen the similarities and differences between the Book of Job and the Book of Jasher.
