New Thought and Magic

I’ve been reading a lot of Neville Goddards works and it seems to pair well with inner work, specifically crafting ideas in imagination or astral. However the main issue with it that I have is that seems passive. Where as with magic we typically hit the ground running. Does anyone see them two as being compatible?

I’ve had the same impression reading Neville Goddard — it can feel a bit passive at first compared to more hands-on magical work.

Personally, I don’t really see them as separate. I tend to treat the imaginal work as the foundation — getting the state and intention clear internally — and then use ritual or other methods to kind of “anchor” it outwardly. If I skip the inner part, ritual feels a bit empty; if I skip the outer part, it can feel like it never fully lands.

So for me at least, they end up complementing each other rather than conflicting.

I think the methods used in "manifestation" are a useful practice and can be employed for magick. Some do a mix, especially right-hand pathers (there's a lot of overlap in their approach IMO).

But the methods can be used for LHP stuff too. I mean, pathworkings are a hippie invention if I'm not mistaken and they're used extensively now by demonolaters and demonologists!
