[Help] new (to me) house, what would you do to ensure nothing is attached to it?

i lived in the same place for about 20 years, this is my first time moving into a new house. it was built nearly 100 years ago so there is a high likelihood of... something hanging around.

i haven't experienced anything as of yet but what would you recommend doing as protection/prevention before i get my whole altar/study situation set up?

I would recommend a cleansing, something simple, like burning incense, and if you still afraid you can use some kind of chant, normally I use the orphic Hymn's or another one from the god I'm calling, but you can adapt it to your practice
