I want to share my recent experiences about my sessions at night with Weed. Lately I have been setting aside with more importance as I would typically. (Sitting at my desk with the bong and steam open)

Anyway, I typically lay out my mat with incense and candles. I pull up my speaker and turn off the lights and play whatever I feel like. It is extremely relaxing for the most part. After a while and the higher I get I seem to get extremely hyperaware of everything. Sounds, vision (I wear glasses so it's weird for me), smells, etc. Eventually I will become more aware internally as well. I visualize my aura very vividly and when I breathe I can work with them both. In this I usually play around with what I can sense and feel. I can become an ocean wave, or rain trickling down a road. I feel as if my whole reality is that, to an extreme vivid sense. Although these moments are ephemeral they feel very real. I have had moments where I feel close to exiting my body completely, but I do not think I am practiced enough to enter that from a awake state.

What my biggest fear though is that these sensations are apart of a spiritual psychosis, I'm not entirely sure the validity of what I feel. I do not want to just smoke a bunch of weed and start seeing shit, then attribute it to a spiritual experience. When I meditate sober, I will feel these things as well. They take a tad longer to reach and feel, but I do feel it nonetheless. So it makes me want to think it's not psychosis. Could my fellow wizards and witches maybe weigh in with an opinion?

For context I've done this probably nightly or every other night for a week. What I am capable of doing energetically and what I perceive has grown in that those sessions.

The risk factor, here, is not psychosis. It's anxiety which can be exasperated with cannabis. That's why it's a risk factor. Suffering from psychosis is almost always accompanied with difficulties expressing abstract concepts briefly.

In special regard to psychosis, the cognition of the individual becomes "convoluted".

All are perfectly normal under the circumstances. That you are aware of the distinctions between this state of awareness and the normative states tells me, it's not even on the scale if one is looking for psychosis.

It's not your whole reality. It's the totality of your awareness. It's not psychotic. Others have had these feelings. It's cross-cultural. Geo-non-specific.

Although these moments are ephemeral they feel very real. I have had moments where I feel close to exiting my body completely, but I do not think I am practiced enough to enter that from a awake state.

Right. Most folks find that cannabis use has diminishing returns over time, but, many use it without too much trouble while reporting similar observations.
