[Help] Not a dire or urgent request - Occultism and Marijuana use

Hi all,

I use marijuana daily, primarily for stress relief and seizure control as another layer, of anti seizure medicine.
However, occultism frowns on a person under the influence of it, why?

The same can be said about some drugs making your senses stronger I guess? Like the ones native Americans take to see things, but I’ve been told doing this is a bad idea

Not sure. I just know Gareth Knight had a book preface where he described his initiation experience.
It was for Ritual Magic Workbook by Norwicki or some Dion Fortune book.
The spirits whupped his butt during the initaiton, psychically, because he had smoked a joint before the intiation. He thus warned against marijuana use.

When I smoked daily I lost interest / motivation for everything except making art and writing. Also hated "having to do" rituals when stoned.
I quit completely for a couple of years and started smoking a bit about a year ago. Only in the weekend, at the end of the day and pure without tobacco. Weed is fun but not if you want to do anything beyond fun.
