It's a tall order but I'm trying to find a university program that will allow me to formally study the esoteric and occult at an undergraduate level. I have looked at different programs that kind of flirt with the topics in the context of anthropological study of indigenous cultures, or altered states of consciousness (UC Berkeley and Stanford seem to be at the front lines here). Some places have a design your own major or interdisciplinary studies program but I have found they aren't as flexible or personalized as I had hoped.

I am going to maybe compile an ongoing list here as I do more research and talk to different universities, but feel free to share if you have heard of or been a part of any programs that allowed you to either explore, express or validate your magick 🪄

Harvard University is offering an online MLA on Religious Studies.

Also, Carlos III University and Pablo de Olavides University in Spain are currently offering a Masters Degree in Religious Sciences --YES, IN ENGLISH and 100% online. Go check the UC3M's website (that is, Carlos III University) for info on the Master's Degree. They are open to application until May 31st.

I am applying to it too, by the way. My research project for the Master's Degree is focused on Occult & Wstern Esotericism in my country, especially LHP.

Typically, it's covered in Anthropology programs. Religious studies often deal with heavily codified or ancient beliefs. You'd want to look for "traditional religion" classes, or even course on shamanism. For undergrads, that might be very few and far between.
