I have now read several books on chaos magic and was wondering about the offerings. These seem to be debated from author to author as well as their importance in the ritual. On the one hand, they are discussed as a mild sacrifice (or not). On the other hand, they can be made through a public message of thanks or a meal.

1) Does one method prevail over the other? If so, could you explain why?

2) Some people say that they simply don't make offerings, but they don't find them any less effective. Why do they choose not to do this in advance?

What method do you recommend from your experience? Although we are the "masters" of the entities and not the other way around, some form of respect or courtesy could be justified. I have the impression that opinions differ greatly (especially on BALG) and wanted to have a more detailed opinion from you on this subject.

Thank you.
