Samael loves the stuff, so do a lot of the other daemons. Belial, Beelzebul, and even Lilith, surprisingly.
Belial loves alcohol a lot.

In one case, I digged up the strongest and oldest piece in my household, to offer him respectfully. I myself was not a drinker, in fact, I hate alcohol for various reasons (he knew this very well), but it was the right time to at least offer some.

What I didn't expect is him asking me to consume it once he accepted. I said that I appreciate it, but I'll ditch the idea. We ended up mini-arguing about me drinking it anyway. In the end, I gave up, he was quite adamant about it, I didn't want to be disrespectful or piss him off (I love doing that, actually, but not that time), and it was not much anyway, but I was like "Man are you trying to get me drunk tonight?".

I suspect it was a form of "energy exchange" through the offering, or he just wanted me to flow with the mood and take things easy.

I like seeing all the different styles and types of offerings others work with. None of it is wrong, unless we are lazy and dont put thought into it, or bother to ask the spirit, I mean duh.

I have done all sorts of offerings. I have had my allies tell me they want an offering that costs me something. Not always money, but my time, my effort, or my own comfort level. Putting actual skin in the game so to speak.

Since my path is about relationship, it might just be different. I dont treat demons or angels like vending machines that exist solely to serve or help me. So offerings are meaningful, not just a wing it and toss coins to Bune for example. He doesn't give a fuck about coins, or even wine (if he did, he would hang out at wineries and get all he wants without my stupid ass). He cares about the intent behind my offering. He cares about the effort in ME, not the coins, not the wine. He cares about my authenticity in the honoring. That is just my perspective, its not the "right" one, nor the only one. Just one.

Some spirits have never asked me for an offering ever. So when it comes to this stuff, each person has their own way of doing it, and each spirit works with each person in unique ways. Doesn't matter how I do it to you because you work with the spirits in a different way, and that right there? Yeah that's pretty cool.

Tealights for most spirits. Loose/smoked tobacco and a glass of water for the Dead (the water glass can be a good indicator of spirit activity as well, lots of bubbles = high spirit activity). Raw meat and alcohol for hotter, more dangerous spirits.

As far as how to offer goes, I like a basic "base and place" method. Use a spirit's traditional sigil/veve/ponto/etc. and place the items on top of said glyph. Some need to be "activated" with fire, breath, plant sacrifice, or even blood. I'll leave that up to the discretion of each practitioner. If there are no traditional sigils/symbols for the spirit you wish to offer/have communion with, then create your own.

I have times when I just minding my own business in my monotone life, and without any grandiose preceding ritual, I just offer the food or pastry I freshly prepared. Not made specifically for these demons, but I'm sharing what is meant to be mine to begin with.
It's a gentle gift for them as they crossing my mind even in the strayest moments of my day, and I love expressing my love and empowering the bond through these small offerings, ensuring their place in my daily life.

These are not 'flashy' or took a lot of 'preparation' in the common sense, but at the same time, I noticed, they don't really care about all that. It's possibly for the same reason you have; I don't communicate and bond with them for gains. I do it because first, I accepted their calling and second, because I just love them, and it feels good giving and spending time, giving space to them in my everyday life.

Oh, yes. The other thing they love so much as an offering is quality time.
And astral sex. They love that too.
